The Power of Faith

“Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report” (KJV).

Commentary/Meditation

Beloved, our Scripture reading for today defines Faith as the substance and evidence of things both hoped for and not seen; and goes on to reveal that by it the elders obtained a good report or testimony. What the Scriptures are attempting to tell us is that faith is the real deal; meaning whatever we can connect with by faith, we are to able to touch and possess with our physical hands. It therefore comes as no surprise that the Bible reveals it is by faith that the elders obtained a good report, as stated by the King James Version of the Bible, or testimony, as stated by the New King James Version of the Bible.
