Praise Him in spite of our circumstances
Description

“Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls- Yet I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. The Lord is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills” (NKJV).

Commentary/Meditation

Beloved, our circumstances should not determine the way we praise God; rather His love, goodness and faithfulness should determine how we praise Him. What I’m saying is we praise Him not just for His blessings, but for who He is and His impeccable track record and faithfulness to all of mankind and creation in general. This is why Psalm 150:6 say, “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!”
